Community Closet

The “Community Closet” is a FREE resource for eligible residents of Concord and Carlisle created by the Concord Carlisle Foundation in partnership with TriCon Church. The Community Closet opened in May of 2024.

The Community Closet is located within the Trinitarian Congregational Church, at 54 Walden Street, Concord, MA. Visitors and volunteers are welcome to park in the parking lot to the left of the church, and the best entrance to the Closet is the door closest to the parking lot and Walden Street. 

All shoppers must have a voucher from a referring agency.

Open Retail Hours are on Tuesdays from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

If you are part of a group that would like to help support the Community Closet, please email closet@concordcarlislefoundation.org and indicate whether you would like to volunteer as a group and/or help with a donation drive.

The Closet holds monthly drop off days on the first Saturday of every month from 10am-12 noon at the Community Closet (54 Walden St, Concord – TriCon Church).

We accept new, like-new or consignment-quality only. Ask yourself, would I give this to a neighbor on a sunny day?

If you are interested in hosting a drive with a group or club or individually, please contact closet@concordcarlislefoundation.org.

Currently, we are looking for the following items. We also maintain an Amazon Wish List, although please feel free to purchase these items from the retailer of your choosing. 

Accepting

  • NEW underwear and socks for women/men/children, in all sizes.
  • Fall/Winter clothing, specifically geared toward teens
  • All winter outerwear (coats, snow pants, boots, etc)
  • Women’s fall/winter tops and dresses
  • Men’s sweaters, jeans and sweatpants/sweatshirts
  • Children’s fall/winter clothing, ages 5 and up
  • Shoes for all ages/sizes

Not accepting: 

  • Spring and summer clothing
  • Mens business attire
  • Toys, books, furniture or other home decor
